Calfe Crimmings supply and install handcrafted polished plaster finishes for the commercial and domestic markets.
The owner, Andrew Crimmings did a design degree at Chelsea specialising in architectural glass. These skills were applied during two years working in Singapore and Jakarta. This was followed by studies and involvement in specialist decoration starting with traditional paint finishes, subsequently focussing on handcrafted polished plaster finishes - which utilises similar disciplines to architectural glass.
As a specialist company a high standard of work is achieved through a close working relationship with the client. A wide range of plaster samples are available to assist specification. Prior to commencement of work a site-specific polished plaster sample is produced.
Work is done in-house by skilled applicators from art and design backgrounds under the direction of the owner. Work is not passed on to contractors.
Calfe Crimmings maintains an abiding interest in new directions in interior design and new developments in polished plaster materials.
